Welcome to Cub Scouts Pack 46! We hope the information presented here will help you get to know about Cub Scouting and Pack 46, Brick NJ.
Cub Scouts is a program for boys from 6 years old (1st Grade) to 11 years old (5th Grade).
Pack 46 is part of the Northern Star District, belonging to the Jersey Shore Council, which encompasses Ocean, Atlantic, southeastern Burlington Counties and the City of Ocean City. The Pack is made up of Dens, which is a group of boys usually in the same grade. Collectively, Cub Scouts are members of a National organization called the Boy Scouts of America.
All Packs have a Chartered Organization that acts as a ‘sponsor’, and ours is the Knights of Columbus located at Epiphany Church, Brick, NJ.
The Pack is run by the registered BSA Adult Leaders of the Pack who make up the Pack Committee, which includes a Committee Chair, Treasurer, Event coordinators, Den leaders, Assistant Den Leaders, and others. All parents of a Cub Scout in Pack 46 are welcomed and encouraged to become a Committee Member. Committee meetings are held once a month. Committee meetings are open to all parents of Scouts in Pack 46.
Den meetings are held weekly based on the Individual Den Leaders schedules. Dens are split up by the Scouts Grade level or age. Den Ranks are assigned as follows:
